Stellar Blade to Remove In-Game Art Referencing a Racial Slur

According to Video Game Chronicles (VGC),  the PS5-Exclusive Stellar Blade - due to come out tomorrow -  has some in-game graffiti art that depicts or references a racial slur.

A Sony rep said to VGC that a Day-One patch on Launch Day will remove the offending graffiti and "Patch it out."

As pointed out by IGN, an in-game shop, known as the ‘R Shop’, appears in Stellar Blade. In one instance, not pictured here, generic graffiti reading ‘Hard’ is placed next to it.

When viewed together, this evokes a reference to racist language, which Sony claimed was unintentional.

The PS5 exclusive will be released on April 26.
